The City of Kettering, Ohio is recruiting for Groundskeeper Specialist positions within the Parks Division. The role involves assisting in the daily operation and maintenance of parks and other City facilities, performing routine tasks under supervision.

Responsibilities

Assists in parks maintenance operation, including push mowing, weeding, litter clean-up, athletic field maintenance, tree trimming/removal and landscape maintenance, painting, restroom maintenance and minor equipment maintenance

Operates one or more of the following: push mower, riding mower, pickup truck with/without trailer, dump truck, paint striper, tractor, line trimmer, hand sprayer and other small equipment

Performs assigned jobs in a safe, efficient, responsible manner

Regular and predictable attendance required. Reports for work on time and ready for work at assigned scheduled hours

The Parks section operation includes a diversity of tasks and responsibilities. The aforementioned duties and responsibilities are illustrative of the total operation, but are not inclusive
