Information Technology Specialist (Applications Software)
U.S. Customs and Border Protection is seeking an Information Technology Specialist (Applications Software) to join their Office of Information and Technology. The role involves providing technical guidance in designing, coding, testing, and maintaining software applications, as well as collaborating with stakeholders to translate functional requirements into technical specifications.

Responsibilities
Providing technical guidance in designing, coding, testing, and maintaining various programs
Providing analysis and maintenance of IT systems to meet current and future business requirements
Collaborating with business owners, internal and external stakeholders, as well as the application development team to interpret, compose, validate, and translate functional requirements into technical requirements
Evaluating organizational outcomes to make recommendations on the most effective strategy, policy, and procedure

Males born after 12/31/1959 must be registered with Selective Service
Primary U.S. residency for at least three of the last five years
All pre-employment processes will be conducted in English
You may be required to pass a background investigation

Meet all qualification requirements, including education if applicable to this position, subject to verification at any stage of the application process
Meet all applicable Time in Grade requirements by 02/13/2026

Individuals are required to have physically resided in the United States or its protectorates for at least three of the last five years
