Responsibilities
Design, develop, and implement SAP BTP applications using Cloud ABAP and ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP)
Collaborate with functional and technical teams to understand business requirements and translate them into efficient and scalable SAP BTP solutions
Develop side-by-side extensions and integrate SAP BTP solutions with SAP S/4HANA and other SAP cloud services to support business process innovation
Advocate for and implement SAP Clean Core principles, minimizing custom code within the core system and enabling agility through BTP
Conduct unit testing, troubleshooting, and quality assurance for all developed solutions, ensuring high standards of performance and security
Maintain comprehensive documentation of development processes, configurations, and customizations
Stay updated with SAP BTP advancements, particularly within ABAP, RAP, and the latest in SAP Fiori development, to ensure best practices and forward-compatible solutions
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent combination of education and experience
Proficiency in SAP Cloud ABAP, RAP, and SAP Fiori Elements
Strong understanding of SAP BTP services, especially integration and extension capabilities
Experience with SAP S/4HANA and related cloud services (e.g., SAP HANA Cloud, SAP Integration Suite)
Familiarity with clean core concepts and side-by-side extensibility
Knowledge of security best practices for SAP cloud applications
Excellent problem-solving abilities
Strong communication skills to collaborate with functional teams and stakeholders
Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality solutions
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship now or in the future
Preferred
SAP certification in Cloud ABAP or SAP BTP
Knowledge of DevOps practices in SAP BTP, such as CI/CD pipelines
Experience with other programming languages or SAP development tools
Other programming languages - JavaScript is a plus
