Start in 2026 SummerThe Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) is seeking interns for their 2026 Summer Construction Program. Interns will gain hands-on experience in civil engineering by working alongside professional engineers on various projects, from road reconstruction to bridge construction.

Responsibilities
Learn proper procedures for contractor work, safety upgrades, signage, drainage, and concrete/pavement/material testing
Assist in project report preparations
Work alongside engineers in the field on projects ranging from simple road reconstruction to complex bridge construction
Gain hands-on experience and learn civil engineering processes firsthand
Qualification
Required
Currently enrolled in a Civil Engineering program
In good academic standing with a minimum of a 2.00 GPA
Proof of Enrollment Documentation including GPA
Proof of valid driver's license in order to operate state vehicle
Undergo a criminal background check
