Responsibilities
Students will work in the office, power stations, and service areas, and will need to be hands-on and be willing and able to work at heights (on raised walkways, etc.) and in industrial environments, which can be dirty
Students must be willing and able to work in any of our services areas and power stations including:
Big Bend Power Station in Apollo Beach, FL
Bayside Power Station in Tampa, FL
Polk Power Station in Mulberry, FL
Qualification
Required
The successful applicant should be enrolled in an ABET accredited university as a college undergraduate or a graduate level post-secondary educational program in a related discipline
To qualify as a co-op student, enrollment in the university's co-op program (proof of enrollment required); if not eligible for co-op program (or program unavailable), the student will be considered an intern
A minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale is required
Required Degree: Cybersecurity
Year in School: Junior or Senior
Systems: Windows Server or Workstation operating systems, VMware or Hyper-V, task scripting and scheduling, applying system updates
Networking: IP addressing and subnetting, VLANs, routing, appliance configuration
Vulnerability management: research, identification, evaluation, and mitigation
Backup and recovery: creating, saving, redeploying of backups
Industrial automation: control logic, communication protocols
Preferred
Preferred/Related Discipline: Cybersecurity, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Technology
Preferred Availability: Full time 40 hours per week will be within a Monday – Friday typically within a 7:00AM – 5:00PM window
