Responsibilities
Administer, upgrade, and support Microsoft technologies and services
Manage and maintain server builds, including both physical and virtual, ensuring the operations of applications, operating systems, and hardware
Manage and maintain Microsoft Exchange, Installation, Administration, and maintenance
Manage and maintain Microsoft O365
Manage and maintain Active Directory, including overall domain and domain controller health, and updates across multiple sites
Manage and maintain Group Policy Objects
Manage and maintain infrastructure components, such as (but not limited to) VMware (including VDI), storage, and server hardware across multiple sites
Troubleshoot and resolve complex hardware, software, and connectivity problems, including user access and systems configuration
Performs maintenance during maintenance windows
Release and install upgrades per the vulnerability timeline
Manage and maintain backups across multiple sites
Create and modify scripts as necessary
Assist with managing automation tools
Keep management and peers informed on projects, including progress, problems, and activities
Provide in-depth technical and design expertise on large-scale infrastructure projects for an enterprise-class company
Clearly communicate the problem/resolution process to management at all levels
Contribute to written proposals and develop technical documentation
Create and maintain system and operating documentation
Presentation of design and deployment strategies
Support business needs with mainstream technologies
Support and implement requirements for compliance
Ensure that best practices are used when deploying new hardware and processes
Following Security policies and best practices on all deployments
Work with other teams and departments to ensure that we are providing secure but accessible resources
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline; or equivalent experience
Must be self-motivated
Must be able to work alone or in teams
At least 2-5 years of solid systems engineering experience assessing, architecting, project planning, implementing, documenting, and supporting large-scale computing environments; with an emphasis on Microsoft, Virtualization, and Cloud technologies
Scripting experience with PowerShell and BASH
Excellent written, presentation, and verbal communication skills
A professional, business-focused attitude and courteous manner towards clients, partners, and peers
Solid experience presenting and/or demonstrating new technology recommendations from a business perspective
Ability to work weekends and/or off hours as needed to meet business needs
Ability to travel to remote sites across the US as needed
Ability to lift 20 pounds
Must have a reliable internet connection for remote work
Preferred
Microsoft Azure experience around deployment, Administration, and maintenance
Prior Exchange experience around installation, administration, and maintenance
