Responsibilities
Lead and develop Controls Engineering and Maintenance teams across multiple work areas and shifts
Drive continuous improvement in automation, controls systems, and preventative maintenance programs
Provide technical direction for OEMs, Project Engineers, and vendors on new equipment installations and upgrades
Oversee PLC hardware/software design approval, component selection, FAT/SAT, and commissioning
Track production performance and implement automation-based solutions to improve efficiency and reduce scrap
Lead and support project start-ups and validation processes
Troubleshoot and optimise production utility and equipment control systems
Oversee machine installations, upgrades, and auxiliary system integration
Support budgeting, forecasting, and capital planning initiatives
Ensure compliance with safety, GMP, FDA, and ISO standards
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or related discipline
10+ years of leadership experience in high-volume manufacturing environments
8+ years of hands-on industrial controls experience
Advanced PLC hardware and software expertise
Strong knowledge of production KPIs, quality standards, and manufacturing performance metrics
Proven experience leading and developing high-performance technical teams
Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving capability
Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, multi-site manufacturing environment
