Business Development Representative (Outside Sales)

JK Moving Services is seeking a Business Development Representative (BDR) to drive revenue growth by generating new business opportunities and managing existing client relationships. The BDR will focus on identifying and nurturing prospects while ensuring client satisfaction and retention, contributing directly to the success of the Business Development team.

Responsibilities

Research, identify, and engage with potential clients through outbound calls, emails, networking, and events
Maintain a steady pipeline of qualified prospects to meet or exceed team revenue goals
Support the preparation of proposals, presentations, and other client-facing materials
Accurately maintain prospect and lead information in the CRM system
Represent JK Moving Services at trade shows, networking events, and industry functions
Track personal metrics (outreach, conversion, and booked appointments) to align with company goals
Collaborate with the Business Development Manager on strategies for target markets and outreach
Serve as a point of contact for assigned clients, ensuring timely responses and high-quality service
Build and maintain strong client relationships to encourage repeat business and long-term partnerships
Coordinate with internal departments (operations, customer service, sales) to address client needs
Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities to expand services within existing accounts
Assist in preparing and delivering client performance reviews and reports
Monitor client satisfaction and escalate issues when necessary to ensure retention and service quality
Support renewal and contract discussions under the guidance of the Business Development Manager

Required

Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, Communications, or related field preferred
1–3 years of experience in sales, business development, or account management (moving, logistics, or related industry a plus)
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and maintain client relationships
Self-motivated with a results-oriented mindset
Ability to manage multiple accounts and projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines
Familiarity with CRM platforms, pipeline management, and Microsoft Office Suite
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and follow-through
