Responsibilities
Design progressive dies and custom automated machinery in 2D and 3D CAD (Inventor preferred, SolidWorks a plus)
Prepare production drawings, layouts, bills of materials, and CAM files
Collaborate with tool and die makers and manufacturing teams to ensure functional, manufacturable designs
Interpret customer specifications and technical drawings to develop high-quality, reliable machinery
Review and revise existing designs for continuous improvement
Qualification
Required
4–10 years in automation and progressive die design, with at least 2 years focused on progressive dies
Proficient in 2D AutoCAD and 3D CAD (Inventor preferred)
Solid understanding of mechanical components, manufacturing operations, dimensioning, tolerancing, and steel selection
Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, and organizational skills
Experience in a manufacturing environment, collaborating directly with production teams
Preferred
Associate or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a technical discipline
Experience with machine tool-type equipment and SolidWorks
Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite
