Start in 2026 SummereMed is a rapidly scaling health-tech organization seeking a motivated QA Automation Intern. This role involves supporting the development and maintenance of automated and manual tests for software features, providing hands-on experience in QA tools and Agile practices.

Responsibilities
Assist in developing, maintaining, and executing automated and manual test cases
Help evaluate test cases for inclusion in regression test suites and test coverage
Support automation of newly implemented functionality under guidance from senior QA engineers
Participate in sprint planning, daily standups, and QA activities within an Agile team
Execute tests, document results, and assist with defect tracking and reporting
Learn and apply testing strategies and automation best practices
Collaborate with team members to ensure quality standards and specifications are met
Contribute ideas for improving test efficiency, tools, and processes
Qualification
Required
Currently pursuing or recently completed a BS degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
Basic knowledge of JavaScript (coursework or personal projects acceptable)
Basic understanding of SQL (coursework acceptable)
Familiarity with software testing concepts (from classes or projects)
Willingness to learn automation tools, frameworks, and QA best practices
Preferred
Exposure to test automation tools such as Selenium WebDriver
Familiarity with Git/GitHub and basic CI/CD concepts (e.g., Jenkins)
Awareness of REST APIs and tools like Postman
Introductory knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS exposure a plus)
Experience through class projects, labs, internships, or personal projects
