Responsibilities

Work remotely three days per week with a flexible/hybrid work schedule
Assist in the Student Loan Repayment Division
Promote and support Diversity and Inclusion within the department
Provide excellent customer service and continuous improvement in the work environment
Conduct research and analyze data related to student loans
Develop and troubleshoot new technical solutions for loan programs
Review consumer/student loan accounts and provide training as needed

Required

A bachelor's degree or higher in any major
The education and experience for the Departmental Analyst Trainee (SOM employees Only) or an educational substitution, as listed on the job specification
The educational level typically acquired through completion of high school and the equivalent of at least two years of full-time active-duty experience at or above the E-6 level in the uniformed services may be substituted for the education requirement
At least three years of professional experience
Experience providing customer service in an office setting
Experience conducting research, gathering information, analyzing data and reporting the results
Experience providing training in an office setting
Experience establishing, working with, and/or troubleshooting new technical solutions
Experience with the review of consumer/student loan accounts
Experience with alternative student loan programs, like the MI Future Educator Teacher Fellowship
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications
