Responsibilities

Participate in architecture and design discussions with cross-functional team members
Participate in the development and support of automation workflows and integrations
Work closely with the AI Engineer to productionize AI-enabled solutions using LLM APIs, prompt-based techniques, and evaluation guidance
Utilize modern development methodologies with a cloud-first approach, incorporating automated testing and CI/CD pipelines
Participate in design and development meetings using Agile and traditional methodologies
Create comprehensive documentation for technical design, system specifications, and test outcomes
Serve as a subject matter expert for assigned applications and AI workflows
Participate in an on-call rotation for production support

Required

Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field or equivalent experience
1+ years of software engineering experience with one or more of the following programming languages (Python, C#, .NET, or Java)
Familiarity with implementing, and consuming RESTful APIs and using API documentation tools
Familiarity with building and supporting workflow automation, integrations, or backend services
Familiarity with maintaining CI/CD pipelines
Proficient in version control workflows and collaborative development practices
Capable of writing clean, maintainable, and well documented code documented code
Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
Experienced in working within Agile/Scrum teams

Preferred

3+ years of software engineering experience
Familiarity with modern web technologies or backend frameworks
Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform
Familiarity with LLM APIs, prompting, or basic AI/ML concepts at a conceptual level
Familiarity with cloud application development and deployment
Familiarity managing cloud-based applications
Exposure to retrieval augmented generation (RAG) concepts or context engineering techniques
Familiarity with automated testing, build, and deployment strategies for backend and containerized applications
Familiarity with designing data solutions for structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data, including schema modeling, querying, and performance tuning
Knowledge of basic machine learning concepts
Awareness of AI governance considerations, including responsible use patterns, bias awareness, and safe automation practices use
