Help Desk Analyst

The Help Desk Analyst plays a critical role in supporting public health initiatives by ensuring the accuracy and timely entry of healthcare-related data while providing support to healthcare providers and public health staff.
Responsibilities
Respond to inquiries from healthcare providers, public health agencies, and internal users regarding immunization records, data discrepancies, and system functionality
Investigate, analyze, and resolve duplicate patient records and incorrect data merges within the immunization information system
Utilize data tools, deduplication utilities, and matching algorithms to identify and correct data integrity and record linkage issues
Document all user interactions, issue resolutions, and follow-ups accurately within the ticketing system
Provide guidance and training to users on best practices for data entry, record maintenance, and system usage
Collaborate with technical and business teams to support system workflows and data quality initiatives
Assist with testing, validation, and user acceptance activities related to system updates and enhancements
Ensure compliance with data privacy standards and organizational policies while handling sensitive health information
Qualification
Required
4.5+ years of experience in a helpdesk, healthcare support, or data entry role
4.5+ years of experience working with deduplication tools, data matching, or record linkage techniques
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a strong customer service orientation
Proficiency with ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow) and Microsoft Office Suite
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
High level of accuracy and attention to detail when working with sensitive data
Preferred
Familiarity with Immunization Information Systems (IIS)
Experience working with state or local public health departments
Understanding of HIPAA regulations and data privacy standards
