The intern will assist in optimizing performance and governance of classified information systems, contributing to the analysis and creation of solutions for information assurance activities.

Responsibilities
Communicate with the Information Assurance team members to explain facts, basic analysis, process and practices
Actively participate in IA team collaboration for creation and implementation of common practices and procedures
Collaborate with others to understand and adopt new concepts, practices, and approaches
Assist with providing security solutions to optimize performance and ensure security measures are consistent and effective
Impact functional strategy by identifying, and addressing problems with intent to add speed, scale, and security to IA practices
Contribute to efforts to engineer, implement, and enforce technical and administrative security measures and processes to ensure all system achieve and maintain government compliance with directives outline in the JAFAN 6/3, JSIG, ICD 503, DODIIS, NIST RMF and NISPOM / DAAPM
Qualification
Required
Pursuing a degree from an accredited college/university in a related field of study
General knowledge of computer networking and cybersecurity concepts
Strong writing and verbal communications skills
Strong organization skills
Preferred
Experience with Windows and Linux
Power Apps experience
Python and data analysis experience
SharePoint and knowledge management
