Responsibilities
Product design engineering, all aspects
Reverse product design engineering of competitive and legacy aircraft components
Manufacturing process improvement engineering including on-site audits of customer’s processes, identification of alternate manufacturing methods, alternate materials, product design updates, and alternate production test methods
Support AS9100 protocol and internal quality procedures
Ensure ITAR compliance of all US military associated design efforts
Qualification
Required
Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering with 10+ years of engineering experience
Able to demonstrate past successes in product/process cost reduction efforts
Able to demonstrate past successes in product design/launch of complex mechanical & electro-mechanical assemblies
Experienced with military and commercial aerospace specifications
Able to demonstrate past successes in driving component and process changes to product BOM's
Strong communication skills
Able to manage multiple projects with minimal oversight
Able to travel to customer sites (20% max)
This position requires access to technical data controlled under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Applicants must be a 'U.S. person' as defined by 22 CFR 120.15, which includes U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, and certain protected individuals (asylees and refugees)
Preferred
CAD & FEA proficiency with SolidWorks or similar design software
Experienced with ITAR/CUI handling requirements
Experienced in manufacturing process development, workflow optimization, or continuous improvement
Experienced in utilization of ERP/MRP systems (Odoo software in current use)
