Responsibilities

Deliver quality engineering solutions and drive projects to completion for new equipment, from the planning phase through the commissioning phase
Understand the complexity of hardware and software, primarily for Siemens PLCs and HMIs
Read and understand schematic diagrams; redline prints and modify e-plans as necessary to maintain the reliability of the documents
Work with integrators and contractors, in addition to Coroplast personnel both on site and off site, to bring new functionality online and troubleshoot issues
Drive modifications and improvements of production equipment to improve efficiency, data acquisition, and continuous improvement
Possess experience with facility power distribution and building infrastructure systems. Be familiar with three-phase electrical components such as Motor Control Centers (MCCs) and Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), as well as low-voltage DC systems
Manage project budgets and schedules for vendors. Communicate with the team and management as necessary regarding budgetary and scheduling challenges
Have experience working with fieldbus communication networks such as Ethernet, Profinet, and Profibus. Be knowledgeable about basic plant network methodology to bring machines online and communicate with IT as necessary to troubleshoot plant networking issues at the machine level
Lead, advise, and train peers and technicians as necessary on new equipment or process improvements
Comply with all safety policies and regulations for equipment and personnel
Work collaboratively on projects with the global engineering team, particularly with headquarters in Germany

Required

Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Automation Engineering, or equivalent combination of education and experience
PLC programming experience required (SIMATIC Manager and TIA Portal preferred); 0–3 years' experience
Experience with facility power distribution and building infrastructure systems
Be familiar with three-phase electrical components such as Motor Control Centers (MCCs) and Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), as well as low-voltage DC systems

Preferred

Manufacturing environment experience preferred
Experience with multi-axis robotic systems preferred; 0–3 years' experience
Project management experience preferred; 0–3 years' experience
AutoCAD proficiency desired; 0–3 years' experience
