Responsibilities
Define and maintain enterprise data architecture standards, principles, and governance frameworks
Establish processes for metadata management, data classification, and data lifecycle governance
Define data ownership and stewardship models to drive quality, consistency, and accountability
Ensure architectures meet regulatory, privacy, and security requirements
Evaluate and guide adoption of platforms, tools, and technologies for analytics and reporting
Provide architectural oversight for data security, backup, disaster recovery, and continuity planning
Partner with application teams on enterprise implementations (ERP, CRM, operational platforms) from a data architecture lens
Research emerging data technologies and apply industry best practices
Translate business requirements into scalable architecture solutions and integration patterns
Advise leadership on architectural trade-offs, risks, and long-term implications
Design and govern logical and physical data models (structured and unstructured)
Oversee data integration patterns, data movement, and lineage across platforms
Ensure interoperability across cloud, on-prem, and hybrid environments
Communicate strategy, progress, and risks to senior stakeholders; promote consistent data practices across engineering, analytics, and BI teams
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
5+ years in data architecture, data governance, or enterprise data management
Experience supporting large-scale data initiatives (data warehousing, analytics platforms, enterprise reporting)
Hands-on exposure to cloud and on-prem data technologies (Azure, AWS, GCP; SQL/NoSQL; ETL/ELT; data lakes/warehouses)
Familiarity with data privacy and regulatory frameworks (GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, etc.)
Strong data modeling, database design, and architecture pattern expertise
Experience with ETL/ELT pipelines, integration, and API-based data access
Knowledge of BI/analytics platforms (Power BI, Tableau, Snowflake, or similar)
Experience with metadata management, master data concepts, and governance processes
Strategic mindset and ability to align architecture to business outcomes
Strong communication with both technical teams and executive stakeholders
Ability to manage multiple initiatives in a complex environment
Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
