Responsibilities
Administer and maintain Palo Alto Next Generation Firewalls, Cisco ASA/Firepower, VPNs, and related security infrastructure
Monitor, investigate, and respond to network security events using tools such as Panorama, Cisco FMC, and SIEM solutions
Perform packet captures, log analysis, and troubleshooting of routing/switching and security appliance issues
Write simple automation scripts to optimize firewall and network security processes
Document configurations, changes, and network diagrams to maintain compliance (NIST, ISO, PCI-DSS, etc.)
Participate in on-call rotations and respond promptly to incidents as needed
Qualification
Required
3–7 years' experience in network security operations or firewall engineering
Proficiency with Palo Alto Networks (PA series, Panorama, GlobalProtect) and Cisco ASA/Firepower solutions
Solid understanding of TCP/IP, routing, switching, VLANs, NAT, BGP/OSPF
Experience with packet capture and analysis tools (e.g., Wireshark)
Scripting skills for automation (Python, PowerShell, or similar) a plus
Preferred
Security certifications (e.g., PCNSE, CCNP Security, Security+, CySA+)
Experience with SIEM tools and cloud security (Azure, AWS, GCP)
