Systems Analyst I
Compass Point, an Akima company, is seeking a Systems Analyst to join their team supporting USSOCOM. The role involves supporting enterprise IT Service Management processes and addressing technical needs across various networks and applications.

Responsibilities
Applies specialized knowledge and independent judgment to support key tasks and lead project assignments
Plans and oversees technology projects, evaluating performance results and implementing improvements to ensure project success
Provides technical expertise and advisory support across multiple assignments with minimal supervision
Analyzes and resolves complex network and application issues, working directly with end-users and stakeholders to enhance system performance
Communicates effectively both verbally and in writing to present technical findings, recommend solutions, and document processes
Develops and implements troubleshooting strategies to proactively address technical challenges and optimize system functionality
Conducts system studies and process evaluations, recommending improvements to enhance operational efficiency and technology utilization
Designs workflow charts and technical diagrams to document operations and improve program processes
Works independently, exercising discretion and judgment in resolving technical and operational challenges
Qualification
Required
Candidate must be able to obtain a Secret clearance
Candidate must obtain DoDM 8570 certifications
Combination of education and demonstrated experience/training on networks and applications specific to the SIE / USSOCOM enterprise
Experience in IT service management
Familiarity with Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL)
Ability to work autonomously and exercise independent judgement on resolving complex technical issues without oversight
Ability to recommend creative/innovative ways to enhance the overall SIE ITSM
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Basic understanding of technical support processes, including research, diagnosis, documentation, and resolution of issues with Windows 10, Windows 8, Windows 7, MS Office applications, email, and internet connections
Ability to determine when to escalate issues to specialized teams (e.g., Desktop Support, Network Administration)
Familiarity with installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of systems and applications pertinent to a service desk environment
Fundamental experience in the setup, operation, and troubleshooting of operating systems within a helpdesk or service desk environment
Must have DoD 8570 IAT Level I certification
Must be able to maintain DoD 8570 IAT Level I certification via continuing education requirements or re certification
