Assistant Electrical Engineer
Shambaugh & Son, L.P. is a division of EMCOR Group, Inc. focusing on electrical construction, mechanical construction, and fire protection. They are seeking an Assistant Electrical Project Engineer to support the design of electrical systems, focusing on educational and government entities, while providing engineering support for energy conservation strategies and MEP construction projects.
Construction
Responsibilities
Assist/Perform electrical load calculations on buildings for analysis
Assist/Perform building audits, and analysis of existing systems
Assist/Perform field investigation for systems, layout, drawings, and new routing
Assist in the design of building Electrical systems
Generate plans and perform drafting utilizing AutoCAD
Assist/Perform lighting design layouts
Develop and generate Details & Schedules
Review submittals
Become and remain familiar with Codes and Standards
Involvement with Public/industry groups is supported
Other duties as required
Qualification
Required
Proficient use of AutoCAD, Word, Excel
Have or be working towards a degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or similar Engineering Technology program
Intrastate travel required. Active driver license status a must
Regular and reliable attendance, including the ability to work extended hours and weekends as required
Preferred
Experience with design software a plus
Professional Licensing or Certifications strongly encouraged, but not required
This person should be self-motivated, innovative, competent, responsible, proficient, and organized
This person should be personable and must work well in a team environment
