Financial Systems Programmer Analyst
Walker Elliott is a law firm seeking a Programmer Analyst responsible for designing, developing, and supporting technology solutions that enhance the firm's financial operations. This role involves collaborating with finance, IT, and business teams to create efficient applications and improve system performance and data integrity.
Responsibilities
Analyze business and financial system requirements and translate them into technical solutions
Design, develop, and maintain custom financial applications, reports, dashboards, and queries
Build and support databases, integrations, and automated workflows to improve operational efficiency
Develop and maintain tools using Microsoft Power Platform, including PowerApps, Power Automate, and Power BI
Support system upgrades, enhancements, and ongoing maintenance to ensure reliability and performance
Participate in initiatives related to billing, collections, cash applications, rate reviews, and special fee arrangements
Manage and enhance integrations with third-party systems and platforms
Create and maintain technical documentation for applications, configurations, and processes
Monitor system access and performance to ensure secure, stable operations
Provide technical support and end-user assistance across financial and business applications
Develop and execute testing plans for new features, upgrades, and automation initiatives
Troubleshoot system issues and perform post-maintenance validation testing
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
4+ years of programming experience; and legal or law industry experience
Experience C#, Visual Basic, Java/JavaScript, and SQL
Experience with Microsoft Power Platform, SSMS, SSRS, ETL tools (Alteryx or SSIS), and Boomi
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Access
Work is primarily remote with occasional in-office work
