Responsibilities
Maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to reduce risk
Prepare or oversee financial statements, forecasts, budgets, and activity reports
Establish performance benchmarks and track company financial health
Partner with Finance leadership on budgets/forecasts; report major variances
Lead monthly and annual GL close; maintain close calendar and procedures
Manage relationships with banks, insurers, and external accounting partners
Support external audits and provide required documentation
Prepare and file multi-state sales and use tax returns
Supervise AR, including billing, cash application, and collections
Supervise AP, including invoices, POs, expenses, and petty cash
Ensure timely and accurate external filings (1099s, 1095s, etc.)
Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or 5 - 7 years of related experience
Extensive knowledge of MS Office application, particularly Excel and ERP accounting systems (i.e. QuickBooks)
GAAP knowledge
Strong written, verbal and collaboration skills
