Responsibilities
Architect, implement, and evolve scalable, maintainable automated testing frameworks that support multiple product lines
Define and drive an automation strategy aligned with DevOps and CI/CD best practices
Serve as the technical authority for automation tooling, frameworks, and design patterns across QA efforts
Partner with engineering, product, and DevOps teams to embed quality checkpoints early in the development lifecycle
Champion a shift-left approach to quality, enabling earlier detection and resolution of defects
Establish standards and guidelines for automated testing, including test design, code review practices, and defect triage
Develop and maintain automated test suites for regression, integration, end-to-end, API, and performance testing
Continuously improve test coverage, reliability, and signal quality while minimizing false positives
Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI) to support continuous testing and faster feedback loops
Review product and feature requirements to identify automation opportunities and ensure testability
Troubleshoot test failures and perform root cause analysis to support rapid issue resolution
Contribute to ongoing QA process improvements through documentation, collaboration, and retrospectives
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
10+ years of experience in software QA and test automation
Advanced proficiency in TypeScript/JavaScript with deep knowledge of modern testing frameworks such as WebDriver.io, Selenium, and Cyprus
Demonstrated success in implementing automation strategies that support CI/CD and DevOps workflows
Strong understanding of API testing, performance testing, and cloud-based testing environments
Excellent technical communication skills with ability to influence cross-functional teams and present to leadership
Preferred
Advanced certifications in test automation tools or quality management methodologies
Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and microservices testing strategies
Background in Agile/Scrum methodologies with experience in fast-paced, innovation-driven environments
Knowledge of AI/ML testing approaches and emerging technologies in quality assurance
Experience with mobile testing automation and cross-platform development
