They are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Interior Design Intern to support their team in designing impactful public spaces, assisting in various design-related tasks under the guidance of experienced staff.

Responsibilities
Assist in developing interior design concepts for schools and other civic buildings
Support space planning, finish selections, and furniture layouts
Create presentation boards, color palettes, and material sample sets
Draft and revise interior layouts using AutoCAD, Revit, or SketchUp
Research materials, furnishings, and fixtures suitable for high-traffic, public-use environments
Participate in design meetings and collaborate with architects and other team members
Qualification
Required
Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university, pursuing a degree in Interior Design or a related field, with the intent to pursue licensure and professional registration
Demonstrated interest in educational and civic design
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to research design challenges and propose thoughtful solutions
Highly organized with excellent verbal and written communication skills
Collaborative team player who takes initiative and responds well to direction
Positive attitude and professional demeanor
Strong drafting accuracy and attention to detail
Participate in continuing education seminars, conventions & organizations to stay up to date on the latest best practices and techniques
A portfolio showcasing academic or personal design work (PDF or online link required)
Preferred
Proficient in Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, and other essential design and office software used for renderings, presentations, and construction documentation preferred
