Responsibilities
Solid understanding of drafting techniques and familiarity with Engineering terminology
Mechanical aptitude with ability to complete basic mathematical calculations
Proficient in AutoCAD, some experience in Revit. Sketchup a plus
50% CAD, 30 % assisting project managers on job details (submittals, correspondence), 20 % jobsite responsibilities (meetings, verification)
Use computer aided drafting (CAD) software to develop detailed “shop” drawing sets
Generate original details which demonstrate a clear understanding of the architect’s design intent while simultaneously communicating our own design intent
Communicate installation of roofing and waterproofing systems to surrounding trades including phasing, chemical compatibility, protection, repair, best practices
Create diagrammatic details including dimensions, callouts, product descriptions, instructions, etc
Create axonometric or perspective details for complicated or non-intuitive systems and conditions
Maintain a database for each job
Track changes to architectural drawings (RFI’s, ASK’s, etc.) and update shop drawings accordingly
Partake in preconstruction and coordination meetings
Correspond with contractors, architects, vendors regarding drawings and installation
Generate closeout documentation, maintain warranties & other compliance paperwork on all projects
Qualification
Required
