Responsibilities
Oversee all accounting, finance, tax, and treasury operations across multiple entities
Act as the principal accounting leader and primary financial partner to the CEO, board, and external stakeholders
Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting in accordance with GAAP
Lead and coordinate external audits and tax engagements across all entities
Oversee the implementation of a new accounting system and ensure continuity of operations during the transition
Drive continuous improvement in internal controls, systems, and reporting efficiency
Manage oil and gas accounting activities including revenue, LOE, CAPEX, DD&A, and joint interest billing
Oversee fund-level accounting, investor distributions, and capital accounting processes
Manage treasury operations including cash management, disbursements, and approval workflows
Lead, mentor, and develop a lean but experienced accounting team while coordinating external resources as needed
Qualification
Required
bachelor's degree in accounting or finance; CPA required
15+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience, including significant oil and gas exposure
deep technical expertise across revenue, JIB, LOE, CAPEX, DD&A, and partnership accounting
proven experience managing audits, tax processes, and complex multi-entity structures
strong treasury, cash management, and control-oriented mindset
experience leading or supporting an accounting system or ERP conversion
confident communicator with the ability to operate effectively at the executive and board level
