Mechanical Engineering Intern
Pacific Scientific Energetic Materials Company (PacSci EMC) is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Intern to join their team for Summer 2026. This internship offers hands-on experience working with design engineers and manufacturing teams to ensure robust and manufacturable designs that meet performance and quality requirements.

Responsibilities
Assist in updating drawings utilizing SolidWorks
Support creation and maintenance of Bills of Materials (BOMs), part specifications, and configuration control documentation
Perform part research and assist in evaluating alternate component options
Record test results, anomalies, and support root cause and corrective action (RCCA) activities
Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering and Supplier Quality to troubleshoot build issues
Review supplier datasheets and manufacturing guidelines to ensure alignment with design intent
Participate in Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Test (DFT) reviews
Identify documentation gaps or process inefficiencies and recommend improvements
Qualification
Required
Working toward a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Preferred
Experience with PCB layout tools (Altium, KiCad, OrCAD)
Soldering or hardware prototyping experience
Exposure to configuration control processes
Interest in aerospace or mission-critical electronics
