Responsibilities
Problem Solving: Tackle complex problems with innovative solutions, ensuring optimal performance and scalability
Design and Development: Architect, develop, and maintain high-quality PHP applications, ensuring robust, efficient, and clean code
Unit Testing: Develop and execute comprehensive unit tests to ensure code quality and reliability
Legacy Code Refactoring: Analyze, refactor, and optimize legacy code to enhance performance, readability, and maintainability
Code Reviews: Conduct code reviews to ensure adherence to best practices, coding standards, and efficient problem-solving approaches
Documentation: Maintain clear and comprehensive documentation for new features, code changes, and system architecture
Continuous Improvement: Stay current with industry trends, tools, and best practices, and proactively apply improvements where appropriate
Qualification
Required
5+ years of professional experience in PHP development
Strong proficiency in PHP and experience with modern PHP frameworks (preferably Laravel)
Solid grasp of front-end fundamentals (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git)
Demonstrated ability to solve complex technical problems with innovative and efficient solutions
Prior experience refactoring legacy codebases and simplifying or modernizing large, complex systems
Strong understanding of unit testing principles and implementation
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills
Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a remote environment
Highly detail-oriented, organized, and capable of working independently or as part of a team
Preferred
Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks (Vue preferred)
Exposure to healthcare, SaaS, or regulated-industry software environments
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
