5+ years expPROLIM Corporation is seeking an experienced ScienceLogic (SL1) Lead to serve as the primary technical owner of the enterprise monitoring and observability platform. This role involves leading platform architecture, administration, and strategic improvements to ensure high availability and accurate alerting.

Responsibilities
Act as the primary technical resource for ScienceLogic (SL1) platform architecture, configuration, and best practices
Design, implement, and optimize monitoring solutions across servers, networks, databases, applications, virtualization, and cloud environments
Manage platform upgrades, patches, enhancements, and capacity planning with minimal service disruption
Configure and maintain collectors, dynamic applications, power packs, and custom monitoring solutions
Define and drive the monitoring and observability roadmap aligned with business objectives
Lead technical design sessions and architecture reviews for monitoring implementations
Recommend and implement platform enhancements, integrations, and scalability improvements
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce alert noise and improve incident response
Design and implement integrations with ServiceNow, Event Management, and CMDB
Develop automation for device onboarding, maintenance modes, alert enrichment, and workflows
Configure SNMP traps, APIs, and custom data collection methods
Partner with infrastructure, application, database, network, and security teams
Lead UAT sessions and coordinate monitoring go-lives and onboarding waves
Provide guidance on alert policies, threshold tuning, and event correlation
Create documentation and deliver training for technical and non-technical users
Diagnose and resolve complex platform, performance, and integration issues
Coordinate with ScienceLogic vendor support for escalations
Perform root cause analysis and implement long-term corrective actions
Qualification
Required
5+ years of hands-on experience with ScienceLogic (SL1) administration and architecture
Strong understanding of monitoring protocols: SNMP, WMI, SSH, PowerShell, APIs, JDBC
Experience monitoring Windows, Linux, AIX servers, networks, databases, and applications
Hands-on experience with ServiceNow integrations (Event Management, CMDB sync)
Scripting experience with Python, PowerShell, or Shell for automation
Solid understanding of enterprise IT infrastructure including VMware/vCenter and cloud platforms
Preferred
ScienceLogic or related monitoring certifications
Experience leading large-scale monitoring implementations or migrations
Strong communication, documentation, and mentoring skills
