Responsibilities

Serve as the central performance engineering SME, promoting best practices, governance standards, and consistent performance testing processes across projects
Analyze application, database, API, and infrastructure performance to identify bottlenecks and recommend improvements to testing, monitoring, and scalability
Evaluate existing performance testing tools and frameworks; recommend, pilot, and implement enhancements to improve performance visibility and testing efficiency
Design, develop, and maintain performance test scripts using tools such as Neoload and JMeter
Define load models, SLAs/SLOs, and capacity benchmarks in collaboration with Enterprise Architecture and project teams
Establish standardized processes including performance testing intake, frameworks, and reusable testing services to support project delivery
Partner with developers, product owners, infrastructure, and testing teams to integrate performance testing into CI/CD pipelines and enable continuous performance testing
Consult with project teams and stakeholders to translate business and technical requirements into performance testing strategies and deliverables
Monitor and continuously improve performance testing suites, frameworks, and execution processes to enhance system reliability, scalability, and operational readiness
Assess testing health metrics, provide reporting and insights, and support enterprise-level status tracking and defect triage activities
Contribute to performance engineering strategy, roadmap development, and adoption of emerging technologies and shift-left/testing maturity practices
Maintain strong understanding of application architecture and provide actionable feedback to improve performance, scalability, and operational resilience

Required

10 + years of experience and strong knowledge of performance engineering and scalability principles
Proven expertise assessing existing tools ecosystems and recommending improvements
Hands on experience with performance testing tools like Neoload and JMeter is a must
Solid understanding of performance concepts and suggesting improvements to the development team is a must
Experience with cloud native scalability testing is required
Exposure to APM (monitoring) tools like Grafana and Dynatrace is required
Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall methodologies and also well versed with the CI/CD pipelines
Must be able to work in a hybrid model with a set number of days from the office depending on the team's schedule
Must be flexible in order to work overtime if at all required to support team activities

Preferred

Knowledge on GitLab CI a plus
