Field Engineer, Data Center Tech, Data Center Operations

Responsibilities
Lead site selection (e.g., technical due diligence) and Sustained Operational Readiness Assessments (SORA) in the assigned area
Ensure cross-functional requirements related to data center operations are met consistently. Act as a resource and mentor for various site personnel (e.g., Technical Program Manager/Program Manager) to drive improvements and provide program feedback
Provide technical support for critical work activities
Provide input and direction to site teams on data center commissioning processes, procedures, and commissioning/retesting requirements, following major repairs and factory witness testing
Conduct Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC), drills, and lessons learned initiatives, acting as a post-mortem advocate and providing program-level support to ensure consistent delivery of program requirements within the region
Qualification
Required
Associate's degree, trade school certification, or other certified training in a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
10 years of experience in Electrical, Mechanical/HVAC, or controls experience in an industrial/commercial environment
Experience in mission-critical environments such as data centers, hospitals, power plants, or transmission operations
Ability to lift and move 50 lbs of equipment, and work on platforms, ladders, and under raised floors
Ability to work non-standard hours and work rotations/shifts
Preferred
Bachelor's degree or an advanced degree
Experience with the electrical and mechanical systems typical of a data center (e.g., Transformers, Generators, Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems, Chillers, Computer Room Air Conditioner (CRAC) units)
Knowledge of high-voltage electrical substations
