Responsibilities
Lead a team of 2–3 Data Engineers
Develop and maintain Python-based data solutions from scratch
Write and optimize complex SQL queries and stored procedures
Provide UAT and Production support, including issue resolution and debugging
Understand and enhance existing codebase to implement new business logic
Work closely with Business, Product, and Technology stakeholders
Perform root cause analysis and implement error-handling improvements
Support critical banking systems including Fraud, Risk, and Payments
Qualification
Required
5–8+ years of experience in Data Engineering
Strong hands-on Python experience (ability to write scripts from scratch)
Strong SQL knowledge (complex joins, query optimization, performance tuning)
Banking domain experience (Fraud, Risk, Payment Systems preferred)
Experience leading a team of 2–3 Data Engineers
Experience in UAT / Production support environments
Strong debugging and error-handling skills
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Flexible to work outside standard hours when required (production support)
Preferred
Experience with both Python and SAS
Prior experience in live production/UAT environments
Strong understanding of legacy codebase enhancement
