Responsibilities
You will assist in supervising a team of part-time staff who look to you for coaching, training and inspiration as they directly lead the program each day
Our patrons, stakeholders, co-workers, and participants will all look to you to provide exceptional customer service. This means making people feel seen heard, and safe-while also setting clear, consistent expectations that build trust and confidence
No two days are ever the same when working with youth! We’re looking for someone who is flexible, adaptable, and ready to thrive in a dynamic environment. This position requires a variable schedule Monday–Friday between 6:45 a.m. and 6:30 p.m., along with occasional after-hours and Saturday events
This role requires a valid driver’s license, or the ability to obtain with 60 days of hire, as the incumbent will need to purchase program supplies and drive between sites for occasional participant transportation
Qualification
Required
High School diploma or G.E.D. equivalency; 1 to 3 years' experience in childcare, recreation activity supervision, customer service, or related work
Any equivalent combination of training and/or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities may be substituted
Valid North Carolina Class C Driver's license with a satisfactory driving record, or the ability to obtain within 60 days of hire
Preferred
3 years or more of experience working with youth
Youth Program experience
Staff management experience
