Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end data testing activities, including requirement analysis, data mapping validation, and downstream data verification
Validate data transformation rules across source, staging, and target systems
Design and execute custom SQL queries to validate data across multiple systems and platforms
Perform historical, full-load, and incremental data validations
Test data integrations involving Azure Data Lake, MuleSoft, and Databus
Validate structured and semi-structured data formats including JSON, XML, CSV, and flat files
Conduct performance testing for batch jobs, including workload modeling and baseline vs. actual analysis
Create test plans, test cases, and data validation strategies aligned with business requirements
Track defects, analyze root causes, and collaborate with engineering and data teams to resolve issues
Provide regular status updates, test reports, and data quality metrics to stakeholders
Qualification
Required
Strong experience in Data Testing / Data Quality Engineering
Hands-on expertise with SQL and complex data validation queries
Experience working with Azure Data Lake or similar cloud data platforms
Knowledge of ETL / data pipeline testing
Experience testing API and integration flows (MuleSoft preferred)
Solid understanding of batch processing and performance testing
Familiarity with multiple data formats (JSON, XML, flat files)
Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills
Preferred
Experience in large enterprise or distributed data environments
Prior leadership or mentoring experience in QA or data testing teams
