3+ years expAkkodis is seeking a Technical Writer for a 9-month contract position. The Technical Writer will support the Abbott Preclinical Engineering team by creating, revising, and proofreading technical documents for regulatory submissions and laboratory testing activities.

Responsibilities
Support extensive laboratory testing activities
Ensure comprehensive documentation of:
Test execution
Study plans
Study reports
Statistical interpretations
Manage documents through a formal document control process
Produce clear, well formatted, high quality technical documentation
Collaboration with Research & Development teams, including subject matter experts on Preclinical Engineering, Hardware and Ablation Catheter Design teams
Coordinating document approval process according to team procedural requirements
With limited supervision, drafting reports and technical content in the context of bench and in vivo preclinical studies
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree, with at least three years of relevant experience, preferably within the medical device or biomedical engineering fields
Experience writing technical documents
Familiarity with document control processes
Exposure to regulatory submissions
Ability to manage workload and multitask effectively
Strong communication skills and technical understanding
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in communications, engineering, technical writing or within the realm of the physical or biological sciences
Experience within a regulated industry (e.g., medical devices)
Strong writing, editing and communication skills
Able to balance efficient authoring and editing of documents while maintaining a high standard in quality of work
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
Biomedical or engineering documentation experience
Basic data interpretation skills (nice to have, not required)
