The role involves basic laboratory management, maintenance, and technical support for experiments, with responsibilities including procurement of supplies and preparation of lab materials.

Responsibilities

Perform basic laboratory management, maintenance and upkeep duties, and to assist in technical aspects of laboratory experimentation

Procurement of lab ordering and purchasing

Monitoring and restocking of lab consumables and supplies

Upkeep of basic lab equipment and digital inventories

Preparation of lab material (e.g., reagents, media) for experimental procedures

PCR genotyping (Bajikar lab)

The purification of plasmid DNA and proteins

The acquisition and analysis of microscopy images as needed

Previous experience with laboratory management including procurement of laboratory orders, upkeep of digital databases, and/or monitoring and restocking of lab consumables and supplies
