The Senior Field Service Technician will operate independently to deliver diagnostics, repairs, and preventative maintenance on forklifts and material handling equipment while mentoring junior technicians and driving operational excellence.

Responsibilities
Diagnose, repair, and maintain forklifts and material handling equipment at customer locations
Perform preventative maintenance to maximize uptime and minimize breakdowns
Operate independently in a fully equipped company service van
Support warehouse, distribution, and manufacturing environments
Troubleshoot complex mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and diesel systems
Execute first-time-right repairs
Perform inspections, safety checks, and scheduled service programs
Maintain fleet equipment to OEM and compliance standards
Train and support junior technicians
Share technical knowledge and best practices
Lead by example in safety, professionalism, and workmanship
Communicate findings and service recommendations clearly
Complete accurate service reports, work orders, and repair documentation
Follow OSHA regulations and safety standards
Qualification
Required
5+ years as a field service technician, heavy equipment mechanic, forklift technician, or industrial equipment technician
Strong mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical troubleshooting skills
Experience working independently in the field
Valid driver's license
Strong problem-solving ability
Customer-facing communication skills
Leadership mindset
Pride in your work
Ability to lift 50+ lbs
Standing, bending, kneeling, and working in diverse weather conditions
Exposure to noise, dust, and industrial environments
Preferred
ASE certifications
Forklift or OEM certifications
Dealer or industrial service experience
Familiarity with diagnostic software and digital service platforms
