Project Architect (K-12 Projects)
HC Solutions Group is partnering with a well-established architecture and engineering firm to identify an experienced Project Manager / Project Architect for a permanent position based in Goshen, New York. This role involves leading K-12 projects and managing project teams while ensuring compliance with New York State Education Department approvals.

Responsibilities
Serve as Project Architect and Project Manager for K-12, higher education, and municipal projects
Lead project planning efforts including scope development, scheduling, budgeting, and milestone tracking
Manage and mentor small teams of architects, designers, and drafting staff
Participate in conceptual design, schematic design, and design presentations
Prepare and coordinate NYSED submissions, including project forms and referendum planning materials
Conduct site visits to document existing conditions, develop field reports, and prepare existing condition plans
Develop feasibility studies, cost estimates, and project reports across all design phases
Prepare and produce architectural construction documents using Revit and AutoCAD
Coordinate closely with internal engineering disciplines, consultants, vendors, and code officials
Interpret and apply the International Building Code as adopted by New York State
Manage or support construction administration activities from contract award through project closeout
Attend client meetings, design reviews, pre-construction meetings, and other project-related meetings
Prioritize workloads and adjust schedules to consistently meet project deadlines
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Architecture
Licensed Architect preferred or actively pursuing licensure
Minimum of 8 years of professional experience in architecture
At least 5 years of experience on K-12 projects requiring NYSED approvals
Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD, with Revit experience preferred
Working knowledge of Outlook, Word, and Excel
Strong understanding of NYS Building Code and NYSED requirements
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills
Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a team environment
Preferred
Experience with higher education and municipal projects strongly preferred
