The National Security Solutions Internship offers rising juniors, seniors, and graduate students the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) while working on defense applications and developing training curriculum.

Responsibilities

Explore Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) approaches for defense applications

Develop curriculum to train engineers in systems theory and MBSE

Gain a wide breadth of experience in SysML modeling to support MBSE education

Required

Full-time rising junior, senior, or graduate student working toward an engineering degree

Must work well in both a team environment and independently

Must have excellent computer skills

Self-motivated; takes ownership of projects and issues, and following issues through to resolution

Strong verbal and written communication skills with attention to detail

Major field of study: Systems and Industrial Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering

Ability to obtain a U.S. Government Secret Security Clearance

Preferred

ABET-accredited engineering degree preferred
