Responsibilities
Design, develop, test, and deploy robust ETL solutions using IBM InfoSphere DataStage (v11.x or higher) for banking, risk management, and regulatory reporting, moving high-volume data to data warehouses and data lakes
Create complex DataStage jobs, including Parallel, Server, and Sequence jobs to extract, transform, and load data from source systems
Optimize, troubleshoot, and tune existing ETL jobs for performance and scalability in high-volume environments
Write complex SQL, PL/SQL, or DB2 scripts for data manipulation, validation, and querying across relational databases like Oracle, DB2, and SQL Server
Develop Unix Shell scripts for ETL automation, scheduling, and task management
Collaborate with business analysts, data architects, and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical ETL specifications
Provide production support by monitoring daily ETL job executions, troubleshooting failures, and conducting root cause analysis
Maintain comprehensive technical documentation for ETL processes, data mappings, and system architecture
Lead junior or offshore developers through guidance, code reviews, and enforcement of ETL best practices
Qualification
Required
Key skills: ETL, IBM DataStage, and SQL
Demonstrate 5–8+ years of DataStage experience, proficiency in Agile/Scrum methodologies, and job scheduling tools like Autosys or Control-M
Design, develop, test, and deploy robust ETL solutions using IBM InfoSphere DataStage (v11.x or higher) for banking, risk management, and regulatory reporting, moving high-volume data to data warehouses and data lakes
