Responsibilities
Provides technical support to the site(s) in order to meet business objectives
Participates in projects related to materials, process, and product development
Contributes to technology sharing programs and technical development for sites and Divisions
Fosters relationships with customers, vendors, and technical trade organizations
Screens materials and prepares implementation methods
Conceptualizes and fulfills scale-up methods for serial production in cooperation with Manufacturing Engineering
Analyzes and interprets physical and electrochemical test and measurement data
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's of Science in Chemistry, Materials Science, Polymer Science, Engineering, or related technical discipline
2–5+ years of technical industry experience, ideally in thermoplastics, compounding, polymer processing, or materials development
Working knowledge of thermoplastic processing methods (e.g., extrusion, injection molding, compounding)
Ability to interpret customer requirements and translate them into material specifications and development plans
Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and data interpretation capabilities
Excellent communication skills for internal collaboration and customer‑facing support
Communication & Collaboration: Communicates clearly and concisely, while engaging proactively with colleagues at all levels of the organization
Value for Customers: Anticipates, understands and meets internal/external customers' needs and expectations. Develops solutions based on a customer centric approach
