Responsibilities
Build a high-performing team to help grow and enable the new Services Center of Excellence in Peachtree, Georgia
Assess Field Engineer and Technical Support gaps pertaining to knowledge and skills; Develop and deploy programs to address competency gaps
Develop regionally tailored trainings in partnership with the Instructional Design Team
Participate in all phases of learning projects, including, analysis, design, development, implementation, & evaluation
Collaborate with internal partners within Global Commercial Enablement, Product Support, Global Business Systems, HR, Talent Development and other cross functional partners to standardize business processes
Program manage and course facilitation for DaVinci and Ion training programs
Conduct assessments and evaluations as defined by course protocol
Master processes and make recommendations to improve training effectiveness
Maintain critical documentation for standard operating procedures and key processes
Proactively communicate task and project status to internal and external stakeholders
Collaborate with Service Learning Training Coordinator team for training certification and record keeping
Participate in process improvement efforts
Leverage various formats and venues for training programs, such as instructor-led, self-led, distance learning/remote, video and podcast, etc. to maximize the impact of the content while optimizing costs
Work closely with US Directors of Field Service, Technical Support and Global Distribution to understand yearly hiring patterns and forecast the correct number of training programs yearly to meet their needs
Understand local product launch timelines to build on-demand training programs to meet launch needs
Build and maintain training calendars
Manage staff and resources
Qualification
Required
Clear and effective communication with strong facilitation skills
A passion for technical training excellence
Basic knowledge of training design and best practices
Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task
Self-starter with ability to take ownership of responsibilities with minimal direction
Ability to analyze complex situations and collaborate to find creative solutions
Ability to self-manage multiple development projects and deadlines
5+ years of experience in the medical device space, either conducting technical training or directly servicing Intuitive products. Ideally, this candidate would have both!
Some experience or willingness to learn documentation processes in a controlled environment such as Agile
Experience in working in SAP, SFDC and ERP systems
Familiar with adult learning methodologies and training best-practices
A proven track record of problem solving, hands-on involvement to identify issues, and seeing solutions through to completion
Experience with project management and working as a cross functional team member
Proven ability to develop and implement new processes to support evolving business needs
Associates degree or higher with coursework relevant to training, manufacturing, engineering, or educational development
Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience in any of the following: Training, Content Development, Customer Service, Field Service, Technical Support
Preferred
5 years in the medical device industry, with a technical training background
DaVinci and Ion product knowledge
OR protocol knowledge
Software application knowledge
