Responsibilities

Lead and grow a manufacturing and process engineering team supporting CMC NPI and production readiness
Develop talent through coaching, clear expectations, and robust development plans; build future leaders and technical experts
Establish team routines (tiered meetings, visual management, standard work) to drive daily execution and continuous improvement
Create a strong safety and quality culture, ensuring adherence to EHS and quality requirements in all engineering work
Foster collaboration across functions (operations, quality, design engineering, sourcing, supply chain, programs) to deliver site objectives
Own the manufacturing engineering deliverables for NPI programs, from concept through rate-ready production
Lead process development for CMC layup, forming, curing/sintering, machining, inspection, and associated special processes
Drive manufacturability by partnering with design engineering to influence part and tooling design (DFM/DFA) and ensure robust producibility
Plan and execute industrialization activities, including process qualification, PPAP/FAI, capability studies, and rate readiness
Manage risk through structured readiness reviews, control plans, and mitigation actions for new and evolving processes
Establish, maintain, and improve standard work for factory processes, instructions, and routings for CMC operations
Implement robust process controls, including process parameters, monitoring, and reaction plans to ensure stable and capable processes
Lead continuous improvement projects focused on SQDC metrics (scrap, rework, yield, throughput, on-time delivery, and cost competitiveness)
Use data and analytics (SPC, Pareto, root cause analysis, problem-solving tools) to drive decisions and measure process performance
Champion FLIGHT DECK principles in manufacturing engineering and on the shop floor to eliminate waste and simplify flow
Serve as the site technical leader for CMC manufacturing and process capability, acting as a key interface to central and external experts
Lead structured problem-solving (e.g., 8D, A3, RCA) for complex process and product quality issues
Guide process and materials trials, DOE, and validation efforts to mature CMC technologies into repeatable, producible operations
Ensure robust documentation of processes, lessons learned, and best practices to support knowledge retention and reuse
Own the engineering execution plan for NPIs and key process projects, including milestones, resources, and risk management
Prioritize and allocate engineering resources based on business needs, program commitments, and site constraints
Communicate clearly with site leadership and program teams on status, risks, and recovery plans
Support capital planning and execution for new equipment, tooling, and capabilities aligned to NPI and growth roadmaps
Represent the site in technical and program reviews, audits, and customer or regulatory engagements as needed
