Conservation Education Operations Intern, Summer/Fall 2026

The Walt Disney Company is a leading entertainment and media enterprise, and they are seeking a Conservation Education Operations Intern to support a frontline team at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park or Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge. The intern will mentor a team, support onstage operations, coordinate projects, and interact with Guests to enhance their experience focused on conservation and culture.

Responsibilities

Mentor a team of Education Presenter interns and International Cultural Representatives
Support onstage operations through active communication, problem-solving and a proven understanding of interpretive techniques
Get results by coordinating and implementing a variety of projects striven to sustain and improve the existing Guest experience
Interact with Guests through Magical Moments, formal presentations and one-on-one interactions!

Required

Proven passion for wildlife conservation and conservation education
Prior experience engaging with the public in a learning setting (i.e. zoo, aquarium, museum, science center or classroom)
3 months of formal or informal leadership experience
Excellent oral/written communication skills
MUST have participated in an Animals, Science and Environment Professional Internship OR Walt Disney World College Program prior to applying
A valid U.S. driver's license
Candidate must be willing and able to operate a company vehicle under inclement weather, including minimal lighting
Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class at time of application OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship
Be at least 18 years of age
Possess unrestricted work authorization
Fully available for the duration of the internship (approximately 40 hours each week)
Able to provide/have reliable transportation to/from work
Be compliant with The Disney Look appearance guidelines

Preferred

Proven problem-solving abilities and critical thinking skills
Experience working with a multi-cultural team or in an international setting
Experience in Adobe Creative Suite
Formal facilitation experience
Ability to speak more than one language
