Platelet Program Coordinator - Blood Bank

Versiti Blood Center of Illinois is dedicated to improving patient outcomes through innovative blood services. The Platelet Program Coordinator will support the recruitment and collection of apheresis platelets and collaborate with various teams to meet hospital partner demands and ensure optimal platelet collections.

Responsibilities

Support platelet donor engagement strategy to grow donor base, increase frequency, and recruit new donors
Collect and assist with data analysis to determine departmental needs and strategy to achieve budgeted platelet collection goals
Prepare, assemble, and send daily reports that are essential to driving collections strategy and decision making for cross-functional audiences
Collaborate with IT and MIO to improve reporting, including automation, when possible
Under direction of the PPM, create platelet donor communications and execute campaigns
As needed, attend team huddles and/or communicate strategy to increase collections and ensure clear communications across teams
Aid in analyzing, forecasting, and modeling daily apheresis appointment needs
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, to review and/or adjust engagement plan and ad hoc activities in response to changing inventory and customer demand
Assist PPM in execution and fulfillment of the platelet donor frequency program and monitor to ensure effectiveness
Offer recommendations for the development and improvement of departmental procedures
Performs other duties as assigned

Required

HS Diploma or equivalent required
Must be computer literate and able to utilize the necessary software and hardware to perform the functions of the job and access company communications required

Preferred

Associate's Degree in marketing, business or related field preferred
