Responsibilities

Serve as a Subject Matter Expert in planning, design, and building telecom networking functions and tooling automation across Wireline and Mobility transport networks with focus on End-To-End Service Delivery, Service Assurance, and Network Management Connectivity
Focus on conceptual development, from requirements through design and implementation, in support of IT and Operations partners
Apply engineering principles and practices in broad areas of complex technical project work that require in-depth analysis using advanced techniques, knowledge, and expertise with focus on FCAPS model and framework for network management design
Conduct hands-on proof-of-concept testing and design validation/innovation of Layer 1/2/3 network designs
Participate in or lead project meetings to report progress, discuss issues and resolutions, and ensure solution requirements are met
Work with telecom equipment vendors to define requirements for their equipment and management platforms

Required

Bachelors/Masters/PhD in a STEM field from an approved university
Minimum of 4 years of industry experience with a bachelor's degree or 2 years with a master's degree
Demonstrable knowledge in telecommunications/data networking domain and associated protocols and industry standards
Hands-on lab experience with network design and testing
Layer 1/2/3/4+ network knowledge and experience – hands-on as well as classroom
Good understanding of fault tolerant scaling as well as redundant and geo-diverse deployment of network/server infrastructure to support millions of customers
Knowledge of open-source analytics and visualization tools with ability to analyze and debug production problems
Functional knowledge of latest developments in Artificial Intelligence and their application and use in telecommunications and networking domain
Communications Skills - Capable of proficient and fluent verbal and written communication with peers, partners, and vendors. Able to produce clear and concise documentation of design requirements, test plans, results, bugs and troubleshooting steps, etc
High level collaboration skills to work with operations and vendor engineers to conduct in-depth technical investigations, troubleshoot issues and provide creative solutions for field problems
Project Management - Ability to manage and deliver upon demands of multiple, simultaneous tasks in a team environment

Preferred

Networking Certification (e.g., CCIE/CCNP) desirable but not mandatory
