Development Technician 3 - Nevada Seismological Laboratory
The University of Nevada, Reno is recruiting for a Development Technician 3 for the Nevada Seismological Laboratory. This role supports the installation, maintenance, and expansion of the fire camera and seismic monitoring network, assisting with technical projects and contributing to departmental operations.

Responsibilities
Supports the installation, maintenance, and expansion of the fire camera and seismic monitoring network for the Nevada Seismological Laboratory
Assists with assigned technical projects and contributes to departmental operations by applying established technical knowledge in electronics, mechanical systems, and related principles
Performs equipment fabrication and modification tasks, including determining appropriate materials and components, assembling, debugging, calibrating, installing, modifying, repairing, and maintaining circuitry components and mechanical parts
Utilizes working knowledge and experience in IP radio communications to support monitoring and communication systems
Ensures adherence to safety standards in laboratory and field environments and provides technical assistance, training support, and consultation to Development Technician 1 and 2 positions, as assigned
Works collaboratively with senior staff and contributes to project goals under general supervision
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in electrical or mechanical engineering or related field and two (2) years of experience in the fabrication, maintenance, calibration, repair and modification of a variety of electrical, mechanical and/or computerized equipment and computer systems; OR An equivalent combination of education and experience as described above
