Responsibilities
Serve as the Apigee and API platform SME, providing guidance, standards and best practices to engineering teams across technology
Manage and support the Apigee platform, including configuration, policy development, routing, security, traffic management and monitoring
Ensure API platform stability, scalability, performance and security
Lead troubleshooting and incident response for Apigee and platform level API issues, driving root cause analysis and continuous improvement
Provide hands-on support across development, testing and production environments
Integrate Apigee with GCP services, CI/CD tooling, and automation frameworks
Collaborate with engineering and infrastructure teams to automate provisioning, deployments and platform ops
Support observability, monitoring, and logging for APIs and platform services
Promote best practices in API management, DevOps, security and cloud ops
Qualification
Required
4+ years of experience in software engineering, API platform, or DevOps roles
Strong hands-on experience with Apigee (proxy development, policies, security, routing, troubleshooting) and working knowledge of JavaScript, Python, or C# to support API policies, automation, and CI/CD workflows
Experience supporting enterprise scale API platforms
Solid understanding of CI/CD concepts with pipeline implementation experience
Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively across teams
Preferred
Experience with API development
Kubernetes experience (GKE preferred)
Experience with GitHub Actions or similar CI/CD tools
Familiarity with observability and monitoring tools
Experience with API gateways, service mesh and modern API practices
