Responsibilities
Configure and maintain routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and VPN concentrators
Monitor network performance and implement optimization strategies to improve throughput and reliability
Troubleshoot complex network issues using firewall logs, packet captures, and tools such as Wireshark while collaborating with cross‑functional teams
Conduct capacity planning and bandwidth management to support future growth and evolving mission needs
Integrate network infrastructure with cloud services, storage platforms, and other enterprise IT systems
Create and maintain documentation including configurations, diagrams, SOPs, and troubleshooting guides
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior network engineers and support secure tenant network segments
Qualification
Required
Active Secret clearance
U.S. Citizenship (no dual citizenship), required for federal suitability
Bachelor's degree and 12+ years of experience, or additional experience in lieu of degree
One of the following certifications: CCNP, CCDE, or CCIE (mandatory)
Ability to work fully onsite and remain within a commutable distance to Colorado Springs, CO
Ability to participate in an on‑call rotation supporting 24x7x365 mission system
