Responsibilities
Implement, manage, and optimize AWS security services including IAM, KMS, CloudTrail, GuardDuty, Security Hub, and WAF
Design and maintain secure cloud architectures following industry best practices
Develop and enforce network security standards across VPCs, security groups, NACLs, VPNs, and firewalls
Ensure adherence to compliance frameworks such as STIGs, CIS Benchmarks, and NIST 800-53
Automate security processes using scripting and IaC tools such as Python, CloudFormation, and Terraform
Collaborate with engineering, cloud, and compliance teams to implement continuous security improvements
Qualification
Required
Hands-on experience with AWS security tools and services
Strong understanding of secure cloud architecture and AWS best practices
Proficiency in AWS networking concepts including VPCs, NACLs, security groups, VPNs, and firewalls
Experience with compliance and security hardening frameworks such as STIGs, CIS Benchmarks, and NIST 800-53
Proficiency with automation and scripting (Python, CloudFormation, Terraform)
Preferred
Preferred certifications: AWS Certified Security – Specialty, CISSP, or similar
